How to Add Your IMAP Email to Popular Email Apps

You can access your email on your phone, tablet, or computer using IMAP.
IMAP keeps your emails synced across all devices — when you read or delete a message on one, it updates everywhere.

Below are step-by-step guides for the most common apps.

IMAP Email Settings (You’ll Need These)

Incoming Mail (IMAP):

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 143

  • Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • Port: 587 (STARTTLS)

Tip: Always use your full email address as the username for both incoming and outgoing mail.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Double-check your email address and password for typos.
  • Ensure SSL is enabled for both incoming and outgoing servers.
  • If your app can’t verify the server, try toggling "Allow insecure connections" temporarily, then secure it again once it connects.
  • Restart your app or device after adding the account.
  • If emails still don’t load, try removing and re-adding the account.
